APPLICATION OPEN FOR PIANO ENSEMBLES - DUE: Wednesday, April 9th 2025
ABOUT: One ADDITIONAL 60 minute ensemble class per week outside of your current weekly private lessons. A piano ensemble group will be formed and rehearsals will be scheduled based off of the collective groups availability. Specific schedule will be determined by the end of April and emailed to successful applicants.
GOAL: The goal is to produce ONE ensemble piece to be included in our VIRTUAL concert. Your ensemble group will also be required to perform in our performance class that is only open to students to attend. In all, this is a program designed to have fun creating music with your Piano Academy peers!
DURATION:
4 Weekly Rehearsals during the month of May 2025 + 1 Performance Class. All classes are 60 minutes in length.
Your commitment / Attendance is a HIGH PRIORITY - If you cannot guarantee your attendance or if you are unable to commit appropriate practice time to learn your piano part, please avoid applying to this program. Missing a class is not an option. Refunds are not available.
Remember you have other PAYING ensemble members relying on you. The assigned piano part is unique to you and everyone in the group plays a crucial role.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Performance class: Sunday, June 1st, from 6:45pm - 7:45pm
Ensemble Program starts: First week of May
Ensemble Program Ends: June 1st with the mandatory performance class.
COST: $50 per accepted student (Added to May Invoice)
STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a local student able to physically attend rehearsals at our studio.
- Must be currently enrolled at the Chapleau Piano Academy
- Must have taken a minimum of 1 Year of Piano Lessons (At the Chapleau Piano Academy or with another teacher)
- Student Age: 8+
- The Student must evidently practice piano regularly and show a good understanding of basic notation reading.
- Great attendance record in their private lessons
